What PrivéRide keeps, and what it does not.
Effective October 15, 2026. Legal entity name and street address are still being finalized with the founder and an attorney. Until a different governing law is published on the terms page, New York law is the pilot default, and the liability, risk, indemnity, and arbitration rules there apply now.

PrivéRide is invite-only private booking software. You join through your driver’s invitation. This page is readable without signing in. It is part of the terms.
The short version
We collect only what we need to book and run your rides — in the app or by phone.
Payment and trip data are processed by service providers under contract. We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
While a ride is live, the driver’s phone may share the car’s position with that rider and with dispatch. It is not shared between rides. While you are waiting for this ride or on it, and only with PrivéRide open, your phone may share where you are with your driver and with dispatch. That stops when the ride ends or is cancelled, and the phone does not keep sharing in the background.
Co-pilot speaks the next turn on the driver’s phone. We do not record the cabin for that. You can delete your account from inside the app, and you can take a copy of what we hold.
What we collect
Account details you provide to sign in — typically your email, a password, and an optional display name. You must be 18 or older.
That you joined through an invitation and are connected to your driver.
Ride requests: pickup, destination, time (now or scheduled), passenger count, notes, and a flight number if you add one. Bookings may be made in the app or by phone. Pickup and destination are the places you give us. They are not a GPS trace from the rider’s phone.
Quiet-car and ride preferences you choose, such as a quiet cabin, temperature, seat side, or route style.
Messages between you and your driver about a booking.
Photos you upload. A profile photo, so the person you ride with can recognize you. A photo of the car, so a rider can recognize that car. Document photos a driver uploads — a licence, a government ID, or an insurance certificate — so PrivéRide can confirm the driver is licensed and insured.
An emergency contact, if you save one. A rider or a driver may save one name and one phone number, and a relationship if they add it. It exists so a dispatcher can reach that person if something on your ride is open. PrivéRide does not call that person for you.
Location
Driver location is collected only while a booking is live — from the moment the driver accepts until drop-off — and only from the driver’s phone, so that rider and dispatch can meet the car. Off duty, there is no live booking to attach a position to.
Passenger location is collected only while you are waiting for a ride that is open or close, or while the trip is under way, and only while PrivéRide is open on your phone. Your driver and dispatch can see that pin. A ride booked for later stays quiet until it is close. It stops when the ride ends or is cancelled. The phone does not keep sharing in the background, and we do not ask for Always location for a passenger.
Co-pilot and CarPlay use that same driver location to place the car on the route and to show or speak the next maneuver, only while guidance for that trip is on. On CarPlay the basemap is Apple’s template. Apple’s handling of location inside that template is Apple’s, under Apple’s terms.
If you open a private follow link, whoever holds it can see the car until you arrive, the ride is cancelled, you close the link, or 36 hours after the later of the scheduled pickup and the moment the link was opened. The page does not show your name, phone number, or fare. Coordinates stop when the link closes.
Voice, Co-pilot, and the microphone
Co-pilot guidance is the phone speaking the next turn. The sentence is the maneuver and the distance, said as one line by the device’s own speech synthesizer. PrivéRide does not record the cabin for those prompts, does not store an audio file of them, and does not send a voice recording to us in order to navigate. Mute, or a quiet-ride preference, keeps that voice off. Guidance does not use the microphone.
Where a browser offers “speak the ride,” the microphone is used only to produce booking text through that browser’s speech recognizer. PrivéRide stores the text you submit with the booking. We do not store an audio recording. The recognizer is the browser’s, not a PrivéRide service. Builds that do not offer the microphone do not collect voice.
Notifications
If you allow push notifications, we store a device token so we can alert you about a ride you already have — for example that your driver accepted, proposed a fare, is on the way, or is at the curb, and the other operational alerts that ride raises.
There is no marketing list and no offer campaign. You can refuse the permission. The screen still shows the ride’s status while you have it open. Tokens are removed when you delete the account or we disable it.
Payments
When a fare is charged to a card, our payment processor collects the card in its payment sheet, including Apple Pay where the app shows it. A booking arranged by phone is billed the same way. Full card numbers are not stored on PrivéRide’s servers. Payment and trip data are processed by service providers under contract.
Driver payouts use our payment processor. That provider collects the driver’s bank details and identity checks on the connected account. We store whether a payout account exists and whether payouts are reported as enabled. We do not store the bank account number.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data.
We do not show ads.
We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
We do not collect a passenger’s location between rides, in the background, or after the ride ends.
We do not share your account with other riders.
We do not record Co-pilot voice prompts, and we do not keep a microphone recording of a booking you dictated.
Who can see your information
Your driver sees what they need to collect you and run the ride: your name as shown in the app, pickup and destination, time, passenger count, notes, quiet-car and ride preferences, messages, the agreed fare, a flight number if you added one, and, while you are waiting or on the trip, where you are.
PrivéRide staff operating dispatch may review accounts, bookings, and Sentinel reports to run the service safely. An emergency contact’s name and phone number, if a rider or a driver saved one, are visible to a dispatcher only while something on that person’s ride is open, and that look is recorded.
A profile photo is shown to the person you ride with, and to PrivéRide staff operating the service. A driver’s car photo is shown to that driver’s riders, and to staff. Licence, government ID, and insurance photos are shown to PrivéRide staff reviewing that driver. They are not shown to riders.
Someone you send a follow link to sees the car, as described above, and not your name, number, or fare.
Payment and trip data are processed by service providers under contract.
How long we keep it
Account details, bookings, messages, and preferences are kept while the account is open.
Profile photos, car photos, document photos, and an emergency contact’s name and phone number are kept while the account is open. You can clear the emergency contact sooner. They are removed when the account is deleted.
Driver positions and passenger positions are kept for about a day, and an hour after a ride leaves its window they are dropped sooner than that. They are not kept for thirty days.
Follow-link coordinates are available only until the link closes, on the rules above.
On deletion, what remains is described in the next section. A service provider under contract may keep its own copy of a charge or a payout under that provider’s policy. Deleting a PrivéRide account does not erase those records.
Your rights, including deletion
You can see your profile, bookings, and conversations in the app. Account → Your data shows a summary. “Send me everything” hands you a copy of what that export includes.
To delete your account: Account → Delete my account → type DELETE → “Delete everything.” That cannot be undone.
If the account has no booking and no message, the sign-in and personal details are removed. If it has ride or message history, your sign-in, name, push tokens, and connections are removed; rider notes are cleared; messages you wrote are replaced with a fixed tombstone; and the operational booking record (addresses, times, and status) is kept without your identity so the driver and the audit trail still have a ride to point at.
Profile photos, car photos, onboarding document photos, and the emergency contact’s name and phone number are removed with the account.
A driver account is closed by PrivéRide staff before that sign-in can be deleted, because rides already driven have to be handed off first.
If deletion fails, email us from the address on the account and we will finish it after we confirm you control that address. If you believe we hold information about a child, email us and we will delete it.
How to reach us
Email info@synapticcore.org for privacy questions, a copy of your data if the in-app export fails, deletion help, or anything else about this policy.
Please include the email on your account. Never send your password — we will never ask for it.
Children, changes, and legal status
PrivéRide is invite-only, for people 18 or older, and is not directed at children.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
Effective October 15, 2026. This policy applies to the invite-only pilot now. The legal entity’s name and street address are still being finalized with the founder and an attorney. The terms page states the liability rules that apply in the meantime.
